HISTORY
Brasfield & Gorrie is the successor to the Thos. C. Brasfield company, a general contractor that operated as a sole proprietor beginning in 1921. Thos. C. Brasfield was focused on the niche of small commercial and remodeling projects.
In 1964, Miller Gorrie acquired the company’s construction assets.
In 1967, the company’s name was changed to Brasfield & Gorrie.
The new company initially continued in the niche of small commercial and remodeling projects, but later shifted its emphasis to larger commercial, institutional, healthcare, water/wastewater, and industrial projects.
In 1984, the company began expanding by opening additional offices in Atlanta, Georgia, and Orlando, Florida.
