BUSINESSES
- CapitaLand Investment (CLI) – is one of the largest real estate investment managers (REIMs) in the world, focusing on listed REITs and business trusts, private funds, lodging management, and investment properties. Its portfolio spans the globe, with operations in more than 40 countries and more than 220 cities.
- CapitaLand Development (CLD) – is the development arm of CapitaLand Group, focusing on its core markets of Singapore, China, and Vietnam. Its real estate development capabilities span across various asset classes, including integrated developments, retail, office, lodging, residential, business parks, industrial, logistics, and data centers.
HISTORY
CapitaLand was founded in 2000 through the merger of DBS Land, a subsidiary of DBS Bank, and Pidemco Land, a subsidiary of ST Property Investments.
In 2019, CapitaLand Group acquired Ascendas-Singbridge, a real estate group, from Temasek Holdings.
In 2019, Ascott Residence Trust was merged with Ascendas Hospitality Trust to form one of Asia’s largest hospitality trusts in combined assets.
In 2020, CapitaLand Mall Trust merged with CapitaLand Commercial Trust to form CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust, which became one of the largest Singapore REITs and one of the largest REITs in the Asia Pacific.
In 2021, CapitaLand Investment was listed on the SGX.
With over 19,000 employees and operations in more than 40 countries, CapitaLand Group is considered one of Asia’s largest diversified real estate groups.
