HISTORY
Momentive Performance Materials was established as a result of the sale of GE Advanced Materials to Apollo Global Management in 2006.
In 2010, Momentive was formed through the merger of the parent holding companies of Momentive Performance Materials Inc. and Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc. (formerly known as Hexion Specialty Chemicals Inc.). Momentive Performance Materials Holdings LLC became the parent company of Momentive Performance Materials Inc., a global leader in silicones and advanced materials, and Momentive Specialty Chemicals Inc., a global leader in thermoset resins.
