       Nvidia Corporation is an American multinational technology company incorporated in Delaware and based in Santa Clara, California, U.S. It was founded on April 5, 1993, by Jensen Huang (a Taiwanese American, previously director of CoreWare and a microprocessor designer at Advanced Micro Devices – AMD), Chris Malachowsky (an electrical engineer who worked at Sun Microsystems), and Curtis Priem (previously a senior staff engineer and graphics chip designer at Sun Microsystems). The three co-founders believed that the PC one day would become a consumer device for enjoying games and multimedia.


       The company designs graphics processing units (GPUs) for the gaming and professional markets, as well as system on chip units (SoCs) for the mobile computing and automotive market. It expanded its presence in the gaming industry with its handheld game consoles Shield Portable, Shield Tablet, and Shield Android TV, as well as its cloud gaming service GeForce Now.

       More recently, the company moved into the mobile computing market and produces Tegra mobile processors for smartphones. It also started producing vehicle navigation and entertainment systems and is now focused on artificial intelligence (AI).

       Nvidia’s products family includes primarily graphics, chipsets, wireless communication, PC processors, drivers, tablet computers, tv accessories, and automotive hardware/software.
