   Pegatron Corporation is an electronics manufacturing company headquartered in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan.

PEGATRON HISTORY


   The company’s origins date back to 2007 when ASUSTeK Computer began a major restructuring of its operations, splitting into three independent companies: Asus, Pegatron and Unihan Corporation.

   In 2008, Pegatron acquired Unihan Corporation, which became a subsidiary that designs and manufactures computers and audio-video products.

   In 2010, Pegatron was listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange. That year, Pegatron also acquired ASRock Inc., an electronics manufacturer of motherboards, industrial PCs, and home theater PCs (HTPCs).

OPERATIONS


   Pegatron’s product portfolio covers a wide range of technology products, including primarily: Computer Products, Consumer Electronics, Communication Products, Car Electronics, and Smart Electronics.

Computer Products

   The Computer Products segment consist of personal computing (notebook PCs and desktop PCs), rugged computers (with protection against water, dust, shock, drop, UV radiation and salt spray.), and motherboards.

Consumer Electronics

   The Consumer Electronics segment includes tablet devices, game consoles, LCV TVs, and multimedia players.

Communication Products

   The Communication products segment provides smartphones, broadband, Set-top box (STB) and network devices.
