HISTORY


   SMIC was founded in 2000 and was listed on the New York Stoc Exchange in 2004.

   In 2015, SMIC, Huawei, Qualcomm Global Trading Pte. Ltd., and IMEC International announced the formation of the SMIC Advanced Technology Research & Development (Shanghai) Corporation, an equity joint venture company.

   In 2016, SMIC acquired 70% of the corporate capital of LFoundry S.r.l.

   In 2019, SMIC was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange.

   In 2020, SMIC was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
