Tatneft PJSC is a Russian oil and gas company headquartered in Almetyevsk, Russia. It was established in April 1950 by the resolution of the Soviet of Ministers and it incorporated “Bavlyneft”, “Bugulmaneft” oil-producing trusts, the “Tatburneft” drilling company, the “Tatneftepromstroy” construction and installation trust, and the “Tatnefteproject” design office.
The company operates through the following business segments: Exploration and Production, Downstream Activities, and Retail Business.

The Exploration and Production segment engages in the oil field development and oil and gas production.
Downstream Activities
The Downstream Activities segment involves crude oil and gas refining, petrochemicals production, and crude oil and petroleum products sales.
Retail Business
The Retail Business focuses on selling a wide range of fuel and related products through a network of more than 725 filling stations.
With more than 60 000 employees, Tatneft PJSC is considered one of the largest oil companies in Russia and one of the largest listed companies in Russia by market capitalization. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world.
