   Yum China Holdings, Inc. (百胜中国) is a restaurant company headquartered in Shanghai, China.

HISTORY


   Yum China’s origins date back to 1987 when the first KFC restaurant was opened in Qianmen, Beijing, China.

   In 2016, Yum China was spun off from Yum! Brands, Inc., becoming an independent publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

   In 2020, Yum China was secondary-listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

   In 2020, Yum China and Lavazza Group formed a joint venture to explore and develop the Lavazza coffee shop concept in China.

   In 2022, the Company became dual primary listed on both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). 

BRANDS


   Following the separation from Yum! Brands, Yum China has the exclusive right to operate and sub-license the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands in China, and also owns the East Dawning, Little Sheep, Huang Ji Huang and COFFii & JOY concepts outright. The company also partners with Lavazza to develop the Lavazza coffee shop concept in China.

   With more than 450,000 employees and over 11,000 restaurants in over 1,600 cities across China, Yum China Holdings, Inc. is considered one of China’s largest restaurant companies. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the Largest Public Companies in the World.
