   MOL Plc. (Magyar OLaj- és Gázipari Részvénytársaság - ’Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company’), known as MOL Group, is an international oil and gas company headquartered in Budapest, Hungary.

HISTORY


   MOL Plc. was founded in 1991.

   In 1997, the MOL Group’s retail network in Romania was increased by buying Amoco Oil Holding Company

   In 2004, the company was listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange. It also acquired the Shell Romania retail network and Roth Heizöle Trading company in Austria.

OPERATIONS


   MOL operates through two business sectors: Exploration & Production, and Downstream.
