The company name “Mindray” is composed of mind and ray, which together means light of wisdom.
HISTORY
Mindray was founded in 1991 in the Financial Center on Taizi Road, Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen.
In 2006, Mindray was listed on the New York Stock Exchange as the first Chinese medical device company. It was delisted from the U.S. stock market after completing a privatization deal in 2016.
In 2008, the company acquired Datascope‘s patient monitoring business in the U.S.
In 2011, Mindray started a collaboration with the IBM consulting team to start the business reform of marketing excellence. Mindray marketing and service management encouraged to build management tools and systems commensurate with an international enterprise.
In 2013, Mindray acquired the imaging business ZONARE in the U.S.
In 2018, Mindray was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
In 2021, the company acquired HyTest, one of the world-leading diagnostic test material suppliers based in Europe.
