Surgutneftegas PJSC is a Russian oil and gas company headquartered in Surgut, Russia. It was established as a production association by the pursuant to Order No. 495 of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry dated 15 September 1977.
The production Association ”Surgutneftegas” consisted of two oil and gas production divisions ”Surgutneft” and ”Fedorovskneft”, two drilling divisions, construction divisions, ”Surgutneftespetsstroy”, Central Base for Lease and Repair of Drilling Equipment, Backfiling Operation Office, Industrial Transport Division and Surgutskoye Motor-Roads Division.
The company operates through the following segments: Exploration and Production, Oil Refining, Gas Production and Use, and Marketing.
Exploration and Production
The Exploration and Production segment operates oil fields which are located in Western Siberia and Eastern Siberia. It involves activities of exploration and hydrocarbon production.
Oil Refining
The Oil Refining segment covers petroleum products, including motor fuels, aromatics, liquid paraffin, roofing and insulation materials, etc.
Gas Production and Use
The Gas Production and Use segment involves the activity in the field of gas production and transportation, as well as the production of dry stripped gas and liquid hydrocarbons which are widely used in the industrial and business activity in Russia.
Marketing
The Marketing segment includes the sales of all products produced by LLC ”KINEF” and Gas Processing Division of ”Surgutneftegas” PJSC. The sales network is represented by its subsidiaries, which perform wholesaling, retailing and storage of petroleum products and render a set of supplementary services at the gas stations.
With more than 116 000 employees, Surgutneftegas PJSC is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world, according to Forbes.
