    ย  ย Atlantia SpA (formerly Autostrade SpA) is an Italian holding company headquartered in Rome, Italy. It was founded in 1950 as Concessioni e Autostrade S.p.A., aiming to give a significant contribution to the post-war reconstruction of Italy.

    ย  ย In 2007, the company changes its name into Atlantia S.p.A.

    ย  ย The name Atlantia is based on the myth of Atlas, who in Greek mythology was ordered by Zeus to bear the weight of the heavens.

    Motorways

    ย  ย The company is the first operator in the world in the management of toll motorways in Europe, Latin America and India. It manages more than 14,000 km of toll motorway.

    Airports

    ย  ย Through its subsidiary, Aeroporti di Roma (ADR), the Group operates and develops Rome’s Fiumicino and Ciampino airports and carries out activities linked to airport management. It expanded its presence in the airports sector in 2016, with the acquisition of Aรฉroports de la Cรดte d’Azur (ACA), the company that controls the airports of Nice, Cannes-Mandelieu and Saint Tropez
