       Booking Holdings, Inc. is an American online travel and related solutions company headquartered in Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. It was founded in 1997, when Priceline Founder Jay S. Walker launches priceline.com with its famous Name Your Own Price® service, which represents a pricing strategy under which buyers make a suggestion for a product’s price.

       The name of the company was changed from priceline.com Incorporated to The Priceline Group Inc., on April 1, 2014, and it was also changed from The Priceline Group Inc. to Booking Holdings Inc., on February 21, 2018.


       The company owns and operates several travel fare aggregators and travel fare metasearch engines, and provides its online travel and related services through six primary consumer-facing brands – Booking.com, KAYAK, Priceline, agoda.com, Rentalcars.com and OpenTable. Other important namesake and flagship of the company are Cheapflights, momondo, and Mundi.

       With more than 26 000 employees, Booking Holdings, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company that provides 29M+ hotels, homes, apartments and other unique places to stay to customers and partners in over 220 countries and territories, and operates websites in about 40 languages.
