China Communications Services Corporation Limited (China Comservice) is a telecommunication company, headquartered in Beijing, China.
The company offers telecommunications infrastructure services (including design, construction and project supervision and management), business process outsourcing services (including management of infrastructure for information technology (“network maintenance”), general facilities management (“property management”), supply chain and products distribution), and applications, content and other services (including system integration, software development and system support, and value-added services)
HISTORY
China Comservice’s history began in 1998 when the Ministry of Information Industry of the PRC (the “MII”) was established, after the restructuring of the former Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of the PRC (the “MPT”).
In 2000, The Directorate General of Telecommunications of the former MPT was renamed China Telecom.
In 2001, China Telecom began a series of restructuring of its telecommunications business, including restructuring of specialized telecommunications support services business, and transferred its telecommunications operations in Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang and the related assets and liabilities to China Telecom Corporation Limited.
In August 2006, China Communications Services Corporation Limited was incorporated, as part of the restructuring.
In December 2006, the company was listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
With more than 90,000 employees, China Communications Services Corporation Limited is considered one of the largest telecommunications infrastructure service groups in China. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the Largest Public Companies in the World.
