LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (隆基绿能科技股份有限公司), known as LONGi Group (隆基股份), is a solar technology company headquartered in Xi’an, Shaanxi, China.
LONGi is named after the former president of Lanzhou University, Jiang Longji. His inspirational life story motivated Li Zhenguo and Zhong Baoshen to choose LONGi as the name of the company.
LONGi was founded in 2000 as Xi’an Xinmeng Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.
In 2002, Xi’an LONGi Silicon Technology Co., Ltd. was established.
In 2004, Xi’an Lumei Single Crystal Silicon Co., Ltd. was established.
In 2007, the company’s name was changed to Xi’an LONGi Silicon Materials Co., Ltd.
In 2008, Xi’an Tongxin Semiconductor Accessories Co., Ltd. was established.
In 2011, LONGi Research and Development Center was founded.
In 2012, LONGi was officially listed on the main board of Shanghai Stock Exchange.
In 2014, LONGi merged Zhejiang LERRI Solar Technology Co., Ltd. and extended its business to the solar cell module sector. Also that year, Xi’an LONGi Clean Energy Co., Ltd., was officially established, marking LONGi’s entry into the building and EPC business of solar power stations.
In 2015, Xi’an LONGi New Energy Co., Ltd. (formerly LERRI Solar Energy Co., Ltd.) was registered, and the company began to develop the distributed solar business.
In 2021, Xi’an LONGi Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd was established.

LONGi provides its solutions in the following segments: PV Power Station, Commercial Industrial, Residential, and Hydrogen.
PV Power Station
In the PV Power Station segment, the company provides solutions for large-scale flat PV power stations, general mountain PV power stations, complex mountain PV power stations, and water surface PV power stations.
Commercial Industrial
In the Commercial Industrial segment, the company launched the green power and green hydrogen solution of “PV energy + hydrogen production”, the decarbonization solution for high energy-consuming industries and the green power alternative solution for the petrochemical industry.
Residential
In the Residential segment, the company’s residential solutions are mainly divided into two categories: standardized residential solutions based on flat roofs and pitched roofs, etc., and multi-scenario residential solutions based on sunlight houses, flat-to-sloping roof conversion projects, etc.
Hydrogen
