It was established on December 19, 2014, by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group) and Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute Co., Ltd. (EPPE Company).
China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group), the controlling shareholder of Energy China, was founded on September 29, 2011, and is directed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).
The group’s major companies include the China Gezhouba Group Corporation (CGGC), China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation (CPECC), Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), China Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., the Engineering Department, and the Construction Department.
