       CRH plc is an international group of diversified building materials businesses headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. It was formed in 1970 through the merger of Cement Limited (established in 1936) and Roadstone Limited (established in 1949). The name of the newly merged company began as an abbreviation of Cement Roadstone Holdings.


       The company manufacture and supply a wide range of building materials and products for use in the construction and maintenance of infrastructure, housing and commercial projects of all sizes, all across the world.

       The building materials are founded in resource-backed assets, which support the manufacture and supply of aggregates, lime, cement, ready-mixed concrete, concrete products and asphalt.

       The building products involve pavers, blocks and patio products, as well as structural concrete and glazing systems.


       With more than 80 000 employees in more than 3 000 locations worldwide, CRH plc is a Fortune 500 company, which is considered the leading global diversified building materials business in the world. It is one of the largest Irish companies and is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world, according to Forbes.
