    HISTORY


       Eurazeo was created in 2001 by the merger of two investment companies, Eurafrance and Azeo (formerly Gaz et Eaux).

    Eurafrance

       Eurafrance, which absorbed its subsidiary Azeo before taking the name of Eurazeo, was created more than 30 years ago.

    Azeo (formerly Gaz et Eaux)

       Gaz et Eaux was created at the end of the 19th century, its activity being water and gas in Northern and Western France. It retained its water activity until 1976 while gradually changing from a portfolio company in the late 1970s to a pure investment company in the 1990s.

       In 1985, Eurafrance became a shareholder of Gaz et Eaux (Azeo).

       In 1999, Gaz et Eaux was renamed Azeo.


       With more than 400 employees, Eurazeo SE is considered one of the largest French investors. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the Largest Public Companies in the World.
