    • Argos Cement โ€“ is one of the largest companies in the production of cement and concrete in the markets where it operates.
    • Celsia – is present in the four businesses of the electricity industry: generation, transmission, distribution, and marketing. It also focuses on renewable energies, with hydroelectric, wind and solar assets, as well as thermal assets.
    • Odinsa โ€“ it focuses on road and airport concessions businesses.

    HISTORY


       Grupo Argos was founded in 1934 as Compaรฑรญa de Cementos Argos.

       In 1937, Cementos del Nare was founded.

       In 1938, Cementos del Valle was founded.

       In 1944, Cementos del Caribe (Currently Cementos Argos) was founded.

       In 1946, Cementos El Cairo was founded.

       In 1963, Tolcemento was founded.

       In 1977, Compaรฑรญa Colombiana de Clรญnker, Colclinker, was founded, current Cartagena Plant.

       In 1986, Cementos Rioclaro was established.

    ย  ย In 2005, Cementos Argos was formed by merging all of its cement producing companies: Cementos del Caribe, Cementos del Valle, Cementos Paz del Rรญo, Cementos Rioclaro, Colclรญnker, Tolcemento, Cementos El Cairo, and Cementos del Nare.

       In 2005, the company also entered the United States market through the acquisition of Southern Star Concrete Company and Concrete Express, concrete companies located in Texas and Arkansas.

       In 2006, Cementos Andino, a cement company in Colombia, and RMCC (Ready Mix Concrete Company), a company with around 80 concrete plants in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, were acquired.

       In 2007, Central Aggregates LLC and HRM were acquired, extending the companyโ€™s operations in Texas.

       In 2009, the company acquired the Holcim assets in the Caribbean (Panama, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Saint Thomas, Saint Martin, Antigua and Dominica).

       In 2011, the company acquired a package of Lafarge assets in the United States that includes two cement plants, Roberta and Harleyville, a cement grinding mill in Atlanta, ready-mix plants in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Florida, as well as five rail terminals and one maritime terminal.

       In 2013, the Lafarge assets in Honduras were acquired.

       In 2016, the company acquired several assets of Heidelberg Cement in West Virginia (a cement plant and 8 terminals).

       In 2020, Cementos Argos enterd the Guatemalan market.
