       Grupo México S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican conglomerate headquartered in Mexico City, México. It can can trace its roots back to 1890 when Asarco started operations in México.

       In 1936, México Compañía Constructora, whose first project is the Southeast Railway, began to operate.

       In 1952, Southern Peru Copper Corporation (SPCC) was incorporated in the state of Delaware.

       In 1959, Perforadora México started its operations.

       In 1999, Grupo México acquires Asarco and its majority ownership of Southern Peru.

       In 2000, Grupo México S. A. de C. V. begins trading under its new name: Grupo México.


       The company operates through the following business segments: Mining, Transportation, and Infrastructure.

    Mining

       In the Mining segment, the company is one of the world’s top copper producers, and has one of the largest copper reserves in the world.

    Transportation

       The Transportation segment operates one of the largest rail fleets in México, with more than 11 000 km of track in 24 Mexican states and in Florida and Texas in the USA. It also interconnects 5 ports on the Pacific, 4 in the Gulf of Mexico and 4 on the Atlantic.

    Infrastructure

       In the Infrastructure segment, the company has more than 80 years of experience in building infrastructure and industrial plants.
