The establishment of this bank was approved by the State Council of China and the People’s Bank of China on 26 Aug. 1988. It was originally founded as Fujian Industrial Bank Joint-Stock Corporation, Limited, but it was renamed as “Industrial Bank Co., Ltd.” on 3 March 2003.
