    Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) history, profile and corporate video

       Japan Exchange Group, Inc. (JPX) is a financial services company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

       Japan Exchange Group was established in 2013 through the merger of Tokyo Stock Exchange Group (TSE; founded in 1949) and Osaka Securities Exchange (OSE; founded in 1949).

       In January 2013, JPX was listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).

       In March 2014, Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd (OSE) was renamed Osaka Exchange, Inc.

    In April 2014, Tokyo Stock Exchange Regulation was renamed Japan Exchange Regulation.

       In July 2014, JPX signed a comprehensive memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bank of China Limited.

       In December 2014, the Yangon Stock Exchange was established after JPX signed a joint venture agreement with Daiwa Institute of Research Ltd. and Myanma Economic Bank.

       In 2019, JPX acquired Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc., expanding its business into commodity derivatives trading.


    OPERATIONS

       JPX operates financial instruments exchange markets to provide reliable venues for trading listed securities and derivatives instruments. In addition to providing market infrastructure and market data, JPX also provides clearing and settlement services through a central counterparty and conducts trading oversight to maintain the integrity of the markets.
