       Japan Tobacco Inc. is a manufacturing company of tobacco, pharmaceutical and processed food products headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It was established as Japan Tobacco and Salt Public Corporation (JTS) on June 1, 1949, and it helped to ensure the stable supply of tobacco and secure fiscal revenues for the Government.


       The group operates through the following business segments: Tobacco, Pharmaceuticals, and Processed food.

    Tobacco

       The Tobacco segment provides cigarettes, rolling tobacco, reduced-risk products, snus and cigars. It also involves 100+ brands worldwide, 9 flagship brands, and 2 leading reduced-risk products brands.

       With more than 61 000 employees, Japan Tobacco Inc. sells its products in more than 130 countries, and it is considered one of the largest international tobacco companies.
