Kinder Morgan, Inc. profile and corporate video

Kinder Morgan, Inc. is an American energy infrastructure company headquartered in Houston, Texas, and specialized in owning and controlling oil and gas pipelines and terminals. It was founded in February 1997, when a group of investors led by Executive Chairman Richard D. Kinder and former Vice Chairman William V. Morgan joined forces and founded Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) by acquiring the general partner of a small, publicly-traded pipeline limited partnership (Enron Liquids Pipeline).

The company’s pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2), refined petroleum products, and other products. The company also stores and handles petroleum products, chemicals, gasoline, jet fuel, propane, ethanol, coal, petroleum coke, steel, fertilizer, ores, and others.

With more than 11 000 employees, Kinder Morgan, Inc. is considered one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, and one of the largest transporters of petroleum products and carbon dioxide in North America. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world.
