       Kinder Morgan, Inc. is an American energy infrastructure company headquartered in Houston, Texas, and specialized in owning and controlling oil and gas pipelines and terminals. It was founded in February 1997, when a group of investors led by Executive Chairman Richard D. Kinder and former Vice Chairman William V. Morgan joined forces and founded Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) by acquiring the general partner of a small, publicly-traded pipeline limited partnership (Enron Liquids Pipeline).


       The company’s pipelines transport natural gas, gasoline, crude oil, carbon dioxide (CO2), refined petroleum products, and other products.
