   Unisource Worldwide, Inc. is a distributor of printing paper, packaging equipment and supplies, and facility maintenance equipment and supplies.  It provides solutions across the life cycle of core business operations, including product packaging and fulfillment, paper and print management, general supply chain and logistics, and facility supplies solutions.

   Unisource Worldwide is a subsidiary of Veritiv.

HISTORY


   Unisource Worldwide was formed in 1996 upon splitting off from Alco Standard Corporation.

   In 1998, International Paper formed xpedx division.

   In 1999, Unisource was acquired by Georgia-Pacific LLC.

   In 2002, Bain Capital acquired a 60% percent ownership in Unisource Worldwide.

   In 2014, xpedx was split from International Paper.

   In 2014, Unisource Worldwide and xpedx merged to form Veritiv.


   With more than 4,300 employees, Unisource Worldwide is considered one of the largest privately held companies in the United States.
