    VakıfBank history, profile and corporate video

    VakıfBank is a Turkish bank and a financial services company headquartered in Ümraniye, Istanbul, Turkey. VakıfBank company was established in 1954.

       In 1957, VakıfBank established Güneş Insurance.

       In 1988, Vakıf Financial Leasing (Vakif Finansal Kiralama A.Ş.) was established.

       In 1993, VakıfBank established Vakıf Pazarlama under the name of Vakıf Deniz Leasing Inc. It also established Vakıf Offshore in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

       In 1995, the branch in New York was established.

       In 1996, the company established Vakıf Gayrimenkul (a real estate investment trust) and Vakıf Risk Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi A.Ş. (the first venture capital company in Turkey).

       In 1998, Va Vakıf Factoring Inc. and the company’s first home banking platform were established.

       In 1999, the Austrian subsidiary VakıfBank International AG was founded, with branches in Vienna and Cologne.

       In 2000, VakıfBank’s subsidiaries, Güneş Insurance, Vakıf Financial Leasing, Vakıf Investment Trust Company, Vakıf Gayrimenkul and Risk Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi were listed on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.

       In 2001, VakıfBank introduced internet banking, with the launch of its website.


    OPERATIONS

    VakıfBank offers banking products and services in corporate, commercial, SME and agricultural banking, as well as retail and private banking. It also engages in investment banking and capital market activities. In addition, through its financial subsidiaries, it offers a range of financial products from insurance to financial leasing and factoring services.
