       VTB Bank PJSC is a Russian financial services provider headquartered in Moscow, Russia. It was established as Vneshtorgbank (VTB; Foreign Trade Bank) in October 1990 by the RFSFR State Bank and Ministry of Finance to service Russia’s foreign economic transactions and promote the country’s integration into the global economy.

       On 2 January 1991, VTB Bank was issued General Licence No. 1000, granting it the right to conduct all types of banking transactions in Russian roubles and foreign currencies.


       The bank and its subsidiaries offer a wide range of banking services and products in Russia, CIS, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S. It operates through the following segments: Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions.
