Samsung Electro-Mechanics was founded in 1973 as Samsung-Sanyo Parts Co., Ltd., focusing on the production of audio/video parts.
In 1974, the company’s name was changed from Samsung-Sanyo Parts Co., Ltd. to Samsung Electro-Mechanic Parts.
In 1977, the company changed its name from Samsung Electro-Mechanic Parts to Samsung Electronic Parts.
In 1979, the company was listed on the Korea Stock Exchange.
In 1987, the company’s name was changed to Samsung Electro-Mechanics.
In March 2006, Samsung Electro-Mechanics was selected as a good parts supplier of Intel.
In Mai 2006, Samsung Electro-Mechanics was selected as a good parts supplier of Lenovo.
With more than 14,000 employees, Samsung Electro-Mechanics is considered one of the Largest Public Companies in the World, according to Forbes.
