It operates through four business units: Telefónica Europe, Telefónica Latinoamérica, Telefónica Digital and Global Resources. The Telefónica Europe business unit includes operations in Germany, Slovakia, Spain, Ireland, United Kingdom and Czech Republic. The Telefónica Latinoaméricabusiness unit includes operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The Telefónica Digital business provides digital services, which include cloud computing, mobile advertising, mobile to mobile and eHealth. The Global Resources business unit offers network and operations, information technology, procurement, global solutions, group services and global human resources services. The company was founded on April 19, 1924 and is headquartered in Madrid, Spain.“
