Woori Financial Group, Inc. history, profile and corporate video

Woori Financial Group, Inc. is a South Korean banking and financial services holdings company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.    The banks were taken over and recapitalized by the government because they had fallen below the Basel I Accord mandated eight percent capital adequacy ratio. The South Korean Government, through the Korean Deposit Insurance Corporation, remains the primary investor as a result.

With over 150 employees, Woori Financial Group, Inc. is considered one of the largest banks in South Korea. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the top 2000 largest public companies in the world.
