Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd., formerly Yantai Wanhua, is a Chinese producer and supplier of chemical products headquartered in Yantai, China. It was established in 1998 as Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd.
In 2011, Wanhua acquired Hungary’s BorsodChem Zrt.
In 2013, Yantai Wanhua Polyurethane Co., Ltd. was renamed Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd.
In 2019, Wanhua wholly acquired Chematur Technologies AB of Sweden.
The Group operates through its following business segments: PU Business Unit, Wanhua Petrochemical, Performance Chemicals Business Unit, Emerging Technology Business Group, Performance Materials Business Unit, Advanced Material Solutions Business Unit, and Performance Polymers Business Unit.
PU Business Unit
The PU Business Unit engages in the sales, production and R&D of diisocyantes and its derivatives, polyether polyols for flexible and rigid foam and PU systems as well as ethylene oxide derivatives (EOD).
Wanhua Petrochemical
Wanhua Petrochemical (Yantai) Co., Ltd. was established on April 20, 2015, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd.. Its operations comprise all those related to petrochemical products, including procurement of equipment and raw materials, production, and sales.
Performance Chemicals Business Unit
The Performance Chemicals Business Unit is responsible for business planning, product development, production and operations, and market development for performance fine chemicals. The portfolio includes aliphatic isocyanate products (HDI, HDI adducts, HMDI, IPDI, XDI, H6XDI), specialty amine products (MDA, MDBA, H12MDA, IPDA, and PU catalysts), aroma, nutrition, and performance chemicals (IP, MIBK, and CDT).

Performance Materials Business Unit

Wanhua Chemical Advanced Material Solutions Business Unit functions as the application development platform for high-performance modified materials.
The Advanced Material Solutions Business Unit is dedicated to R&D, production, sales and technical service of modified polypropylene (PP), polycarbonates (PC), silicone polycarbonates (Si-PC), polymethyl methacrylates (PMMA), long-chain polyamide (PA12), and bio-degradable materials, which can be applied in automobiles, electronics and electrical appliances, 5G communications, consumer goods, oil-gas pipelines, cable sheaths, outdoor sporting equipment, and degradable packaging.
Performance Polymers Business Unit
The Performance Polymers Business Unit was established in Feb 2019 and is dedicated to R&D, production, and sales for polycarbonate (PC) resins, which are widely used in automobiles, electronics and electrical appliances, household appliances, construction, optics, medical services, and consumer products.
