    China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) history, profile and corporate video

       China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) is an investment banking company headquartered in Beijing, China. It offers investment banking, equities, FICC, asset management, private equity, and wealth management services.

       CICC was incorporated on July 31, 1995, by China Construction Bank, Morgan Stanley, China National Investment and Guaranty Co Ltd, GIC, and the Mingly Corporation, as the first Sino-foreign joint venture investment bank.

       In 1997, CICC established its first overseas subsidiary in Hong Kong, through which CICC became the first Chinese securities firm conducting securities underwriting business in Hong Kong.

       In 2002, the company obtained approval from the CSRC to conduct asset management business.

       In 2004, it established the Fixed Income, Commodities and Currency Department, and it was one of the earliest securities firms to conduct fixed-income business domestically.

       In 2005, CICC was one of the first two securities firms to obtain the qualification to serve as investment manager of the assets of enterprise annuity funds from the then Ministry of Labour and Social Security. It also established the Wealth Management Department, and it was one of the earliest securities firms to engage in wealth management business.

       In 2010, the company obtained approval from the CSRC to conduct margin financing and securities lending business.

       2011 – We were the first securities firm to obtain approval from the CSRC to raise and manage private equity funds.

       In 2015, CICC was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

       In 2017, the company completed the acquisition of the equity interest in China Investment Securities Company Limited. It also acquired Krane Funds Advisors, LLC’s majority stake. That year, CICC Capital Management Co., Ltd. and CICC Capital (Cayman) Limited were also established.

       In 2018, CICC announced the introduction of Tencent as a strategic investor.

       In 2020, CICC was listed on the Main Board of Shanghai Stock Exchange.


       The company has more than 200 branches across China. It is also active overseas with offices in Hong Kong, New York, London, Singapore, San Francisco, Frankfurt, and Tokyo.

       With more than 9,000 employees, China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) is considered one of the largest investment banking firms in China. According to Forbes, it is considered one of the Top 2000 Largest Public Companies in the World.
