       SK Inc. (formerly SK Holdings) is a holding company of the SK Group headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It was established in July 2007, when SK Group adopted a holding company structure, and under the re-organization, SK Corporation (SK’s main entity), was split into an investment company, now SK Inc., and an operating company, now SK Energy.

       SK Group, previously named Sunkyong Group until 1997, is one of the largest conglomerates in South Korea. It can trace its roots back to 1953 when the current founders acquired Sunkyong Textiles.
