Chunghwa Telecom Company, Ltd. is a telecommunication service provider headquartered in Zhongzheng, Taipei, Taiwan. It was founded on June 15, 1996, as part of the Taiwanese government’s privatization efforts.
Chunghwa Telecom was listed on the Taiwan Stock Exchange in 2000, and on the New York Stock Exchange in 2003.
In 2007, Senao International was acquired.
In 2020, the company launched Taiwan’s first 5G NR network.
Chunghwa Telecom offers domestic and international fixed communication, mobile communication, broadband, and internet services.
